With a new kitty in the home, we are always eager to try different feline products to see what KitCat likes best. For the last four months (KitCat is six months now), we've been using a corn-based litter and were curious to see if clay clumped better or retained odors more effectively. Also, quite honestly, we've caught the dogs eating the corn litter on a few occasions and that's another reason for us to experiment with litter options. So, we tried out Frisco Scoopable Cat Litter from Chewy.
Usability:
Overall, we were very pleased with the clumping power of Frisco. What we scooped out was hard within a minute; no crumbling at all. Just be sure to pour four inches of litter into the pan so you can scoop out nicely formed clumps and don't have to scrape the bottom of the box.The Frisco litter clumped very well. |

There was a small amount of litter tracking, but not much. Interestingly, the size of each pebble of litter is larger than ordinary sand litter, but smaller than traditional clay litter. I'm not sure if that's a factor in the good clumping ability, but it's something I immediately noticed.

Are you seriously taking my photo while I'm using the box? |
On a related note, due to the weight, it would serve you well to have a set-up for your cat that allowed you to have room for this big bag right next to the litter box. If you have to haul it in and out of a cupboard or pantry, that might be a bit of a struggle due to the weight. So, plan accordingly.

The 40-pound bag of litter currently goes for $13.15 on Chewy (less if you sign up for autoship); a real bargain.Rating:
On a scale of one to four paws, we give the Frisco Scoopable Cat Litter a four. It clumped well, kept odors in check, and KitCat took to it immediately. It's a good value and we were quite pleased with it.Disclaimer: As a Chewy influencer, we received this product for free so we could sample it.
